At the 41st rally see a display of classic and military vehicles, and steam engines, plus an autojumble, country market, food stalls, beer tent and kid’s amusements. This year’s theme is Jubilee and in addition to the hundreds of classic vehicles on display, you can expect themed attractions, including a parade of ’50s exhibitors, ‘50s music and dancing and of course the parade. With over 600 classic vehicles attending, ranging from classic cars and bikes through to steam engines and commercial vehicles – there is something for all enthusiasts. Described as the friendliest classic car show in Kent.

Dover Culture Carnival 2022

The Dover Together: Multicultural festival aims to bring the diverse communities of Dover together to celebrate and explore diversity. Showcasing the rich variety of cultures which make up Dover, the festival gives people the chance to hear new music, try new foods, dance and art, learn about other cultures as well as to celebrate traditional British culture, and see the positive impact that diversity can have on the town. Run by Samphire charity that is working to create a society which is inclusive and compassionate towards migrants.

The War And Peace Show

The War And Peace Show At Hop Farm in Paddock Wood in Tonbridge is described as the greatest celebration of military history and vintage lifestyle in the world. A five-day military and vintage festival packed full of education and entertainment. Living History scenes will provide a unique picture of life in conflict with depictions from WW1 to the present – see the British living in trenches, GIs in Vietnam, Russians relaxing with an accordion after a hard day in battle, or Germans plotting their next moves. Thousands of military vehicles gather from around the world representing the armies of the 20th Century. Look out for tanks, artillery, armoured and amphibious vehicles, cars, jeeps, bicycles and motorbikes, emergency and commercial vehicles – and lots more. It’s not just about the frontline, get a feel for what life was like for the families at home. A dedicated area for all things vintage and an exciting focus on the peace element of the show’s title.

New Romney Country Fayre is one of the best annual free events in Kent, organised by the community, for the community. The event starts with a carnival parade through the town, as well as 2 arenas of all-day entertainment with all the fun of a traditional country fair. Morris dancing alongside a falconry display and watch 16 golden retrievers performing in time to music, plus lots more events.

A tableaux of decorated floats in various themes held on the Royal Military Canal held every second year. The Fete attracts an audience of thousands from far and wide to see the two processions of up to 40 floats, first in daylight, and then again after dark when illuminated. At dusk between the two parades there is a grand firework display.

We Will Meet Again

Same place, the same great line up of attractions and entertainment – but bigger, better and for longer than before for this year’s We Will Meet Again At Betteshanger Country Park in Deal. It is another great event for Festivals in Kent in 2022 and it promises something for everyone, with re-enactors and military vehicles, trade stalls, arts and crafts and 1940s fashion, music and song. A static Spitfire and UH-1 Huey helicopter are among the many attractions.

Mexican Celebration Weekend
Lullingstone Castle, Sevenoaks
24th & 25th September 2022
