February Half Term Events In Kent 2024



Time to head to the theatre this February with some great shows, festivals and great experiences this February half term in Kent. Be transported down the yellow brick road, join Mr SleepBum, three little pigs, Fireman Sam and many more for fun and some fantastic experiences.

Don’t miss the School Of Rock at The Granville Theatre in Ramsgate. In this Andrew Lloyd Webber musical, based on the film, Dewey Finn, a failed, wannabe rock star earns a few extra bucks by posing as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school. He turns a class of straight-A students into a guitar-shredding, bass-slapping, mind-blowing rock band – sensationally performed live by the production’s young actors every night with roof-raising energy. Time: Until 17th February 2023, 7.30pm, and  2.30pm on 17th February. Price: From £22.90.

Also there’s the opportunity to see the internationally renowned musical at the Malthouse Theatre in Canterbury this half term with Les Misérables School Edition. This epic and uplifting story about the survival of the human spirit is presented by the JGH Associates Musical Theatre School. Time: Until 17th February 2024, 7.30pm and 2.30pm on 17th February. Price: £19.75 – booking fees may apply.

The SIX Teen Edition from Trinity Theatre is, due to show licensing restrictions at The Thomson Theatre, at The Skinners’ School, St John’s Rd, Tunbridge Wells TN4 9PG. Divorced, beheaded, died, divorced, beheaded, survived – from Tudor queens to pop icons, the SIX wives of Henry VIII take the mic to remix 500 years of historical heartbreak into a euphoric celebration of 21st-Century girl power. Time: 16th February: 4.30pm and 8pm, 17th February: 1pm, 4.30pm and 8pm, and 18th February: 1pm, 4.30pm and 8pm. Price: £14, Child – under 15 years: £12.50, Disabled: £12.50 Student +: £12.50. Booking fees apply.

Family fun with magic, balloons, puppets, games and so much more, as The Kent Magicians Guild with Children’s Showtime at Stag Sevenoaks – its third successful year to the theatre with their magical spectacular. Time: 17th February 2024, 2pm. Price: £10, Family – 1 adults + 3 children or 2 adults + 2 children: £33.

Kids events in Faversham in Kent include the comedy circuit’s best stand-ups and sketch acts with the Comedy Club 4 Kids @ The Alex. Time: 17th February 2024, 2pm. Price: Child: £6, Adult: £8, Family of 4: £24. Booking fees may apply.

The Chatham Chinese Festival celebrates The Year of the Dragon 2024. There will be a parade, market, street food, traditional dance and martial arts masterclasses. The dragon is a powerful and auspicious creature in Chinese mythology, representing courage, creativity, and innovation. 2024 promises to be a year full of possibilities and opportunities. Time: 17th February 2024, 11am-3pm. Price: FREE 

theatre show and workshop for The Snow Queen at Tonbridge Castle. The Toy Maker is in his workshop making toys for the children, when all of a sudden they come to life to tell the story of The Snow Queen. Follow Gerda on her adventures as she sets out to rescue her brother Kai from the evil Snow Queen who is holding him prisoner in her ice palace and meet the magical creatures who help her on her mission. Watch Paul Batten of Theatrix Arts perform this magical story through puppets, changing scenery, music and sound effects. Then meet the puppets and create your very own Puppet of a character from the show. Time: 17th and 18th February 2024, 11am and 2pm. Show – 40 minutes, workshop – 1 hour. Price: £10 per person. Children under 16 years must be accompanied by an adult.
