Plenty of celebrations for the King’s Coronation in Ashford including a live screening of the Coronation ceremony in Victoria Park followed by a showcase of music and dance. Head to the Country Square Shopping Centre for a children’s themed craft workshop and face painter – both events on the 6th of May. On the 7th, there is a service of celebration at St Mary the Virgin Church, and a Coronation Party in the piazza at Elwick Place.

In Ashford the Coronation Party there will be free children’s crafts, live music and performances, food and drink, plus enter the best dressed king/queen’s selfie competition, at Elwick Place’s Piazza.
Take a picnic and enjoy a day of free entertainment with Morris Mancers, live bands, plus food and drink stalls for a day of fun for Tonbridge Coronation Big Lunch at Tonbridge Castle.
At the Coronation Picnic at Knole House in Sevenoaks take part in The Big Lunch whilst enjoying the beautiful surroundings of Green Court. Take your own picnic, play with giant game sets, and have fun dressing up as kings and queens. There will be free craft activities for all to enjoy, including decorating your own crown.
For the King’s Coronation Celebrations in Capel-Le-Ferne in Folkestone are having a street party in the village hall. With an inflatable pirate ship, face painting, and lots more fun.
The Coronation Castle Site Picnic on the Isle of Sheppey is hosting a free community event with a range of entertainment from a local radio station, Miki The Clown, plus games, face painting, races, and lots more. Take your own picnic for an afternoon of fun.
On the 7th of May enjoy King Charles III’s Coronation House Party at Leeds Castle in Maidstone. In the Salon, a three-course menu awaits, with live music from the Redfords. For overnight guests, there will also be an afternoon tea buffet and games on the lawn.
At Tenterden Recreation Ground, the Coronation In The Park is all about communities coming together for the Coronation Big Lunch where you are welcome to bring along your own food and drink or purchase food from local shops or the stalls at the event. There will also be live music to suit all ages, local dance groups, Maypole dancing, local army groups, military vehicles, and children’s craft and free face painting. There will also be free tea cup rides and lots more fun events for all ages.
At Chiddingstone Castle, Edenbridge in Sevenoaks on the 8th May at the Coronation Celebration soul singer June B will be featuring UK songs from Charles’ era plus some of his favourite hit singles by The Three Degrees as well as many other popular hits.

The Margate Coronation Celebrations include Coronation Conga with Your School of Music Canterbury steel band just before the firework display on the Main Sands on the 6th of May. On the 8th join in the Rise Up Clean Up Margate beach clean.

The Coronation Celebration Weekend at Ightham Mote in Sevenoaks on the 6th to 8th of May 2023, you can enjoy three days of events including a spot the crowns trail, and take along a picnic to enjoy free music on Sunday & Monday.
The Broadstairs & St Peter’s Coronation Weekend includes a funfair, live music, beacon lighting, and fireworks on the 6th of May. On the 7th enjoy a day of children’s events, a dog show, a classic car show, and live music. On the 8th of May, there will be community stalls, a choir, the Dickens Declaimers, tours, and live music.
See the Replica Crown Jewels at Guildhall Museum in Rochester, made in 1931 and will be on view during the Coronation weekend.
For the Best of British Weekend at Kent & East Sussex Railway in Tenterden get in the spirit with your best royal-themed fancy dress, take along your union jack flags, and make the station awash with colour. There will be vintage amusements, giant children’s games (weather dependent), selfie opportunities, classic cars and bikes, and lots more.
To celebrate the Coronation the Hythe Community Festival 2023 is hosting a range of events – a fashion show, fancy dress competition, Punch & Judy, live music, exhibitions, and lots more. As part of The Big Lunch is the Oakland Park Fun Day with a boot fair, bouncy castle, circus tricks, live music and entertainment, dog displays, and lots more. The evening will end with a screening of the live concert from Windsor Castle. For The Big Help Out, local groups will be on Hythe Green, plus live music.
Head to Rochester Castle for the Medway Coronation Celebrations with a live broadcast of the special Coronation Concert, featuring global music icons and contemporary stars. For The Big Lunch take your picnic hamper and watch the large screen events and enjoy the family activities taking place throughout the day, including Punch & Judy, circus skills, balloon modelling and hobby horses, and lots more. The celebrations and activities will continue as part of The Big Help Out where people try volunteering themselves and support their local charities.

Enjoy the King Charles III Afternoon Tea and far-reaching views of the grounds of the Salomons Estate in Tunbridge Wells, families can celebrate a feast inspired by the King’s favourite dishes and those served at his own wedding. Afterwards, sit back with and relax, whilst the little ones are entertained with biscuit decorating and crown crafts before heading out onto the lawn for a game of croquet and a royal treasure hunt.

Free family event to celebrate the new king at the Coronation Celebration on Herne Bay Pier. Live entertainment includes Odin’s Ravens, juggler Paul Incredible and mind reader Ashley Green, with pier attractions, the retail village, food & drink stalls open on the day too.
On the 8th of May once you have completed the self-led activity, Coronation Celebration Bank Holiday Trail at Lullingstone Country Park in Sevenoaks, you will receive a small prize at the end. You can pre-book online or purchase one on the day – limited numbers.
At the Coronation of King Charles III Fete in Farningham there will be live music, food & drink stalls, with games including beat the goalie, tug of war, and lots more at the Farningham Cricket Club.
The Cliftonville Dog Show Coronation Edition at Oval Bandstand in Margate has lots of fun events for your four-legged friend – and you too. Categories include Waggiest Tail, Best Behaved, and Dog Most Like Its Owner!
At the Thanet Disabled Riding Centre’s Coronation Party, there will be games, a raffle, and plenty of fun, and meet and say hello to the ponies in Broadstairs.

In Maidstone, as part of its Coronation celebrations in honour of King Charles III, the Heart of Kent Hospice has a range of fundraising activities, inducing a Royal Colouring Competition, ideas for other events, as well as its Big Help Out Volunteer Event, where you can find out about a variety of roles where you can help the charity.

Children’s Coronation Crafts! at Penshurst Place and Gardens in Tonbridge from the 6th to the 8th May little ones can can make their own crown to wear and take home to their own royal palace to celebrate the coronation.
From the 30th May to the 2nd June 2023 with the Make Your Own Coronation Crown at Guildhall Museum in Rochester, little ones along to the museum so they can decorate their own card crown to help celebrate.
Get ready for a right royal knees-up at the Kids Rule at Dover Castle to celebrate King Charles III’s coronation with hands-on activities and fresh-air family fun. Kids can get creative and invent their own royal legend that will stand the test of time, and get arty and design their own set of coronation robes — the crazier the colour combos, the better. 30th May to the 4th June 2023.
