Description

Botany Bay is an iconic beach in Broadstairs that has very soft sand and is described as unspoilt and has white chalk stacks and cliffs surrounding it and is accessible via either steps or a steep slope. It gets its name from when smugglers were deported to Botany Bay in Australia. This secluded bay has interesting rocks formations when tide out and is a very popular Blue Flag (2019) beach with RNLI lifeguard patrols on the beach in the Summer.

Parking
Very limited, and can get very busy in peak season. This is a residential area with 24 hour patrols in place.

Dogs
1st May to 30th September
Dogs are not permitted between 10am-6pm.
