Description
The World War Memorial is dedicated to those that fell in World War I and II, and according to Imperial War Museums an elaborate runic cross on a square pillar and at the top of each face are recessed figures: St George, the Black Prince and representatives of each of the three services. It can be found in The Buttermarket area, which is rich in architectural highlights of the city where you can see The Christ Gate which is the front 'door' of the Canterbury Cathedral.
