Description

Dating back to 1100AD the Church of St Cosmas and St Damian in Challock, near Ashford, features Crusader tombs, crosses, two well-preserved heads carved on the outside of the southwest window, and the candle beam in the Lady Chapel. The latter is one of few surviving examples in England. Most recently the church has become renowned for its murals.
