Description

Farningham Woods Nature Reserve was designated as a Local Nature Reserve in 1987.  It is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), which means it is one of the most valuable areas of woodland in Kent. The Small-Leaved Lime is a rare tree that is only found on one other site in Kent, can be found here as can other unusual plants and sheep also graze on the 168 acre site. There is a 1.6 mile waymarked walking route taking in most of the site.
