Description

Folkestone’s Boardwalk is a network of walkways that employs the harbour’s heritage such as the railway sleepers from the station when the railway stopped at the harbour for the pier. The Boardwalk’s route begins at The Stade, following the viaduct and the restored station and links the Harbour Arm to the Lower Leas Coastal Park. Using the railway sleepers due to the harbours heritage not only for the Boadwalk but also for seating. Visitors will find themselves closer to the water's edge and on the route also find public artworks created for various Folkestone Triennial’s during their walk.
