Kent Life offers visitors a range of activities, including a taste of what life was like in Kent in the past with its Vintage Village, a recreation of a home during World War II. In the play and farmyard area, children can explore an outdoor play area, or bottle feed lambs at Easter, use the play beach and bouncy castle in Summer, and ride on a donkey. Plus, enjoy the indoor soft play area with 3 floors to explore. They can also explore animals and play, paint-a-pot studio or get close to smaller farmyard animals in the cuddle corner. Explore the Kentish Gardens on site, the last coal-fired Oast House in the country, learn about hop picking and visit their hop garden.
Plus, at the Owl Academy, meet the 12 owls that call Kent life home, as well as meet the meerkat family, Shilo and Jessie, and their children, Fuggle and Goldie. During the school holidays, enjoy life shows. They also offer experience days and workshops.

Some events carry a different admission charge. There are Buggy Parks outside the Tea Room and Birthday Party Room.

Accessibility
The site is on a gradual slope, with flat areas at the entrance and play areas. The village green is located at the top of the slope, and the majority of buildings have wheelchair access, except for the top floors of the historic buildings. The land train and tractor can accommodate wheelchairs.

Dogs
Keep on short leads. Not allowed in the catering areas, the indoor play barn, Farmyard Friends or the Kent Owl Academy. Dogs are not permitted at the Experience Christmas event, and other events. Advice is to check before you visit to avoid disappointment.

Boat
The Kentish Lady sails from the centre of Maidstone, just five minutes’ walk from Maidstone West, 10 minutes from Maidstone East, and a few minutes from the Fremlin Walk Shopping Centre. It is a seasonal service.

Parking
Free. Dedicated accessible parking is available near the attraction entrance.

Additional Notes
Children under 16 years must be accompanied by an adult. Most credit and debit cards in many of our outlets (but not all) and payment by card is subject to a £5 minimum spend.
