Description

Slough Fort was built as a response to the ‘Cold War’ between Britain and France during the mid 19th Century and the possible invasion from our ‘enemy’, as well as the perception that the British Fleet was not enough to protect the country from attack. The Slough Fort Preservation Trust is not only restoring the building but also preserving it as a community asset. Tours are available or visit the grounds, it is also home to paranormal events run throughout the year as well as family-friendly ghost story evenings.
