Description

Known as the Cathedral of the Romney Marsh, St George’s Church in Ivychurch is a 14th Century building with a seven bay arcade. There are some indications of an earlier church, mainly found at the east end, as some Caen stone from the earlier church can be found, though it is mainly built of Kentish ragstone. The church hosts two permanent history exhibitions: The Museum of Rural Life provides a display of farming in the 20th Century, while the Ivychurch Local History Display provides a snapshot of the village in the 19th and 20th Centuries.

Opening Hours
Open for worship, 2nd and 4th Sunday at 12Noon.
