Description
St Mary Magdalene Church in Cobham near Gravesend has been on the site since 1115, and it was in the early 13th Century that the de Cobhams provided money for rebuilding the existing Church, hence regarded it as their own Chapel and place of burial. In 1360-70 Sir John de Cobham rebuilt the nave with its two aisles and added the porch, the roof, then the tower, which houses the six church bells, four of which date back to the 17th Century.
