St Mary Magdalene dates from the 13th Century, it has stained glass windows commemorating the preservation of the village during World War II and its steeple is considered one of the ‘impressive’ sights in Kent. It has five ‘green men’ carved in the sanctuary ceiling, with a Commonwealth War Grave in the churchyard.
