Description
The Hythe and Dymchurch Railway (The RH&DR) covers four stations from the Cinque Port town of Hythe to Dungeness. The railway, known as Kent’s Mainline in Miniature, is one-third full size steam and diesel locomotives and cover 13 and a half miles of track. The stations Hythe, Dymchurch, St Mary’s Bay, Romney Warren, New Romney, Romney Sands and Dungeness are all within walking distance of a beach, and you can also explore walks, medieval churches and the iconic lighthouse at Dungeness. It operates from the New Romney Station where visitors can see a model exhibition, explore the engine shed, as well as a children’s playground. Younger visitors can join the Bug Club, a children's membership for those under 11 years old.

Accessibility
The railway has coaches adapted to carry wheelchairs. With on-board ramps, panoramic windows and four seats for accompanying helpers, these coaches are available on any train by prior arrangement. Wheelchair accessible carriages are also available on the day on a first come, first served basis.

Advisory Notes
Pre-booking is essential. For St Mary's Bay, during some timetables, this station is a request stop. If you wish to alight here please alert the station staff before you board the train. To 'flag down' a train here, please raise your hand as it approaches the station. Trains only call at Romney Warren Halt on selected special event days which are separately advertised.
