Description
A huge and internationally important and protected nature reserve, RSPB Dungeness boasts a range of exciting habitats to explore. Fresh water pits provide a home to thousands of wintering ducks and geese as well as nesting seabirds in the Ssummer, there is the wide expanse of shingle protected for its unique plants and insects that live underneath the stones. RSPB Dungeness wildflowers carpet the area during the Summer months with a pallet of colourful plants attracting a huge variety of insects including rare bumblebees, moths and butterflies. As you follow the nature trail, watch marsh harriers soar over reed beds searching for prey and listen to the chorus of the laughing marsh frog.
There is a children's play area, and they run a number of events children's and families activities during the year, including events to see the Denge Sound Mirrors on the site.

Accessibility
The nature trail is accessible to those in wheelchairs and mobility scooters. The visitor centre and viewing hides are wheelchair friendly with no steps and areas to sit. Picnic benches have spaces for wheelchairs, happy to help with any accessibility requests and if you would like more information, please check the website or call.
Bus
101 Bus passes by the entrance to Dungeness and will stop on request.
Dogs
Dogs are allowed on leads through the public rights of way, they are not allowed on the nature trail.

Light refreshments are available to purchase from the shop such as hot drinks, ice creams and snacks.
