Description
The Tom Thumb Theatre was originally a coach house in the Victorian era, transformed into one of the smallest theatres in the world in 1984. The building is a mix of Japanese and Alpine architecture. It hosts a variety of events, including comedy nights, music, performance, jazz evenings, theatre, poetry and club nights.
Venue Style: One of the smallest theatres in the world, a quirky Japanese and Alpine-style former coach house hosting comedy, live music, cabaret, theatre, jazz and spoken word.
Location: Near the seafront in Cliftonville, Margate, near the Oval Bandstand.
Visitor Info: A 47-seat auditorium with a first-floor bar reached by an outdoor staircase, plus a ground-floor kiosk bar for busier nights.
