Description
Viking Bay is Broadstairs' main beach, very popular with locals and visitors, and one of the main attractions of the town, with a surf school, fair rides and inflatables, Punch & Judy shows and a rock pool. In the Summer there are RNLI lifeguards on the beach, with seasonal events including the New Year's Day Dip.
Train
Broadstairs – 10 minutes.
Accessibility
Lift down to the promenade, or a sloping and fairly steep road access to the far side of the beach. Small pier with a seating area. Boarded walkway for buggies on pier side of the beach.
Dogs
No dogs are allowed on the beach between 1st May to 30th September at any time. See our Dog-Friendly Beaches in Kent guide for details.
