Description
Lydden Temple Ewell - The James Teacher Reserve, just outside Dover is managed by the Kent Wildlife Trust and is one of Europe’s finest surviving chalk downlands. The 80 hectare reserve is rich in species and chalk flowers like early spider orchid. Butterflies, bush crickets, grasshoppers, birds as well as plants and insects are part of its habitat. Grazing animals, cattle, also share the space with best time to visit between May to August.

The reserve car park is behind the old George and Dragon pub in the middle of Temple Ewell village.
Accessibility
It has some challenging walks and has a steep narrow path with kissing/rambler gates. The surface is chalk/grass, steep and uneven and slippery and muddy when wet.
