Description
Pegwell Bay is part of the Sandwich Pegwell Bay Country Park. You can get to the bay from the country park or you can access it via the top of the cliff, near the Viking Ship. Paths lead down to the old site of the hovercraft terminal now home to nature and forms part of the Sandwich and Pegwell Bay National Nature Reserve. Very quiet and considered tranquil, and can often be empty.
Parking
Free Parking on roads nearby or in the layby on the main road - though if park on grass area through the gate be mindful the café owner can shut it early, as they control the parking gates so be careful of time when parking.
Dogs
Dog friendly, but keep on lead in the nature reserve area of the beach.
Advisory Notes
Parking and toilets only open when the cafe is - check times when arriving as the barrier will be put up when the cafe closes.
