Discover Betteshanger Country Park in Deal – a 250-acre country park. The former spoil tip from Betteshanger Colliery, one of the largest collieries in Kent, offers visitors a chance to explore nature and enjoy adventures. Cycle along scenic trails or tracks, discover walking routes, woodlands, and there's a play area too at this SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest).
Throughout the year, the park hosts a programme of holiday courses for children, bike races, fun runs, and unique activities like archery, fossil hunting, axe throwing, and geocaching. Don't miss the various festivals and seasonal events, too.

Future Plans
There has been approval for a surf lagoon, holiday lodges, a hotel and more as part of the development.

Animal Experiences
Tiny Hoovers offer a trio of animal experiences at Betteshanger Park in Deal, including walking with the goats, being a junior goat keeper and goat petting.

Kent Mining Museum
The park is also home to the Kent Mining Museum, where you can delve into its fascinating industrial heritage.

Accessibility

All visitors who take bikes or use rented bikes must wear helmets and follow the designated bike trails, paths, and areas with caution and awareness of other users.

Bus
The 13 stops are near the park.

Dog Details
Must be kept on a lead at all times.

The play area equipment is recommended for children 2 to 12 years.
