Description
Botany Bay is an iconic beach in Broadstairs is described as unspoilt, with iconic white chalk stacks and cliffs surrounding it. The bay gets its name from the time smugglers were deported to Botany Bay in Australia. This secluded bay has interesting rock formations. It is great for fossil hunting and exploring rock pools when the tide is out. The beach is very popular in peak season.
Parking
Very limited, and can get very busy in peak season. This is a residential area, please park with care. Thanket District Council advises: park at Palm Bay Avenue, where there are over 200 free parking spaces, (CT9 3PP) for Palm Bay beach and a short cliff top walk to Botany Bay. No parking is available in the adjacent roads in Kingsgate Avenue and Fitzroy Avenue, where 24-hour patrols are in force.
Acessibility

Dogs are not permitted between 10am-6pm.
