Description

The Hemsley Conservation Centre in Sevenoaks is a small zoo and wildlife centre that offers visitors the chance to see some of the world’s most endangered and least understood species. Animals include toucans, meerkats, rusty spotted cats, parrots and lots more, with guided tours and animal experiences available. The continually growing zoo and wildlife centre is an education centre and a small breeding centre for rare animals.

Accessibility
Reasonably wheelchair friendly, though some pathways can change depending on weather conditions, as they are made from natural materials. The centre has ramps available if needed. Assistance dogs are not permitted inside; however, if you regularly rely on an assistance dog, contact the venue around 3 weeks in advance, and they can make arrangements. They have sensory bags for sale for children with ASD and ADHD, with ear defenders, fidget toys, a zoo map and a personal list of animal talks.

Bus
306/308 bus route from Sevenoaks to Bluewater shopping centre, nearest bus stops are - Vigo Village and Culverstone Green - a few minutes walk.

Advisory Notes
Children under 16 years must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Animals are generally more active from midday into the afternoon.
