Description
King’s Wood in Ashford is an ancient woodland in the heart of the Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Beauty and is 588ha of mixed conifer and broadleaf woodland, with highlights including the sweet chestnut coppice and beech woodland with bluebell displays in the Spring. It is home to fallow deer, adders, nightjars, green woodpeckers, as well as lesser and greater spotted woodpeckers, with walking trails and wood sculptures.

The Stour Valley Creative Partnership oversees the artistic elements incorporated in the wood, with sculpture trails and commissioned artworks in the woods.
