Description
Ramsgate Main Sands is a beautiful sandy beach that has a play area, with swings and inflatables (fees apply) that is popular all year round. It is east to the Royal Harbour and is approximately 250 metres long, with a pedestrian promenade running the length of the sand. Busy in the Summer, home to cafes, an arcade and restaurants with the Royal Harbour beside it, the area is also host to a number of special events including festivals and a carnival (see our Music & Festivals sections as well as What's On calendar) throughout the year, with RNLI lifeguards during Summer season.

Pay & Display along Harbour Parade, with disabled bays - very busy during peak season and events.
Dogs
Not allowed on the beach between 1st May to 30th September.
