Description
The River Medway is about 70 miles long, and is tidal downstream at Allington Lock in Maidstone. It is navigable from Tonbridge to Sheerness and it has been a busy transport route since the 16th Century with spectacular views including many oust houses indicative of Kent and its history of hop growing and brewing. Plenty of activities to enjoy, such as cycling and walking paths, boat rides, kayaking and canoeing.
