Description
The Big Blean Walk can be done as one very long circular walk or in stage and the recommended start is at Selling Station a village near Canterbury, where in the past the village would have been a hive of activity in hop season when pickers would travel here. During this circular walk, that can be taken in parts or in one long walk, you can take the permissive path by the side of the railway or walk through Neames Forstal and to the south you will see views of the Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Beauty. Your journey through Blean Woods will include rich wildlife and woodland and you can make use of the Great Stour Way, North Downs Way or the Crab and Winkle Way to join or leave the walk.
