Description

Return to the ‘Age of Sail’ when the Dockyard built mighty ships that mastered the world’s oceans. Test your sea legs as you marvel at HMS Ocelot, a Cold War Submarine; explore HMS Cavalier, a Second World War Destroyer; walk the deck of HMS Gannet, a Victorian Sloop. Watch their Master Ropemakers at work using Centuries-old techniques on the Victorian Ropery. The Historic Dockyard Chatham offers 400 years of heritage and 80 acres to explore including historic warships, RNLI lifeboat collection, free talks, exhibitions, plus tours, and lots more.
