Hever Festival Theatre in Sevenoaks

Castle Gardens Stage

Description

Set in the gardens of Hever Castle, the childhood home of Anne Boleyn, the Festival Theatre has been bringing live performance to the castle grounds for more than four decades. Its main stage, the Two Sisters' Theatre, was rebuilt in 2024 as an open-air auditorium with fully covered seating and a transparent roof, so audiences stay dry while watching under the stars.
The season runs from May to December, with family shows, plays, classical concerts, opera, jazz, comedy and tribute nights. Some performances also take place at St Peter's Church in Hever village, Chiddingstone Castle, Penshurst Place and Dragonfly Farm in Speldhurst. On summer evenings, arrive early to picnic in the castle gardens before the show.
