There is a Christmas trail as part of this magical experience. Start in Kansas at Dorothy’s house, stroll through Munchkinland, and walk the yellow brick road with poppies blooming on either side, spot the Flying Monkeys in the Christmas tree forest, and arrive at the dazzling Emerald City, brought to life by a dramatic green illumination on the historic Castle from dusk. Along the Wizard of Oz-inspired trail, you will meet familiar characters, the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, and the Cowardly Lion.

A Glimpse of Christmas Past
Fort Amherst, Chatham
A tour rather than a trail, but we think it will be a firm fave for the festive season. This is a new interactive tour where you will experience Christmas through the ages. Starting during World War 2, travel through Victorian and Napoleonic, finally ending with the tradition of Wassailing. Afterwards, included in your ticket, visit the café for a mulled wine and mince pie, or hot chocolate for children.
