AXE THROWING, ARCHERY & SHOOT OUTS

Easter is not just about egg hunts – though we love those –   you can also unleash your inner warrior with these adventurous activities in Kent.
During the school holidays, they can have a go at axe throwing and testing their marksmanship skills with a thrilling battle archery range experience. There are epic Nerf gun battles too where doing the darts shows how fast and reactive they can be. This close-quarters battleground at the Shootout Arena is a great way to work off some Easter energy with Betteshanger Activities. Holiday clubs in Kent this Easter offer various activities and adventures from arts & crafts to trampoling and camp building.
In Chatham at Lordswood Leisure Centre for 4 to 16 year olds there the holiday club Easter Funtime. With a wide range of activities including arts and crafts, trampolining, woodland walks, films, camp building and lots more. All sessions are structured and run by qualified play workers. Weekdays from the 2nd to 12th April 2024, Members/Non Members: 8am-6pm sessions: £25/£26, 10am-4pm sessions: £21/£22, All Week: £115/£120 plus they are offering half price for a second child attending.
At the Wild One’s Forest School Holiday Club at Betteshanger Country Park, Deal in Kent, children enjoy the outdoors and nature, being free to explore for themselves, and developing self-confidence, self-esteem, and many other skills for Easter Events in Kent Activities & Adventures. Activities may include woodland crafts, lighting fires, campfire cooking, building dens, and climbing trees. For 5 to 11-year-olds on the 1st to 5th, 8th to 12th April, 9am-3.30pm, £35 per day, parking: £5 – 20 minute grace drop off and pick up.

TRAIN TREATS
What’s not to love with train rides, experiments and treasure hunts this Easter in Kent – head down to Tunbridge Wells and Sittingbourne for some egg-cellent fun.
Hop on board with Zap and Boing, the clumsy scientists, as they try out some wacky experiments on the Science Express! at Spa Valley Railway, Tunbridge Wells. Enjoy two hours of slapstick comedy, chemical reactions and mayhem – where at Erridge station everyone will make some slime to take home. Get on board the range of Easter activities at Bredgar And Wormshill Light Railway, Sittingbourne for the Diesel Days Easter Treasure Hunt where you can follow the clues to receive a prize. 3rd to 5th and 10th to 12th April 2024, from 11am to 2pm. Rides: Adult: £4 per adult, child 4 to 16 years: £2, child 3 years and under: free, hunt £2 per child if not riding the train.

FOSSILS FUN
Learn about the fossils we find, then head to the quarry with the tools of the trade to find your own 300 million-year-old fossil and receive your junior doctorate in palaeontology. You can then help the leader track down our escaped dinosaur, a dangerous Eotyrannus on the Dino Expedition at Betteshanger Country Park, Deal. From the 2nd to 14th April 2024, 10am, 11.30am, 1pm and 2.30pm, Adult/Child: £10, parking: £5.

FUN DAY
Plenty to enjoy at the Big Easter Family Fun Day at Bewl Water in Tunbridge Wells in Kent for Easter. Take part in a colouring competition, escape the haybale maze, enjoy giant garden games and meet and greet Ranger Bear – all for free. Plus, additional adventures such as the Easter Egg Hunt, face painting, bouncy castle, Inflatable obstacle course, laser tag and soft play for an additional charge. 30th March 10am, Free entry, Easter Egg Hunt: £3, other paid-for activities: TBC.

EASTER OFFER
Army-style outdoor assault course with 30 different obstacles based on military training techniques and motivational guidance provided by HM Armed Forces-trained instructors at Boonies at Betteshanger Country Park, Deal in Kent. They are running an Eater Special offer – 2 hours including an instructor-led session, free play and slip slide fun for £15. on 1st, 3rd, 5th, 8th, 10th and 12th April 2024 at 10am and 12Noon.

CRAFTS & HUNTS
Don’t miss the fun in Ashford, Whitstable and Sevenoaks this Easter crafty fun, craft workshops and basket weaving.
Easter free family fun
events in Kent include craft workshops and face painting at the County Square Shopping Centre in Ashford. Craft Workshops: 2nd and 10th April 2024, Face Painting: 5th April 2024 – 10am-3pm.

At Whitstable Castle, little ones can do Easter Craft Workshops as part of the Easter events at the castle. 1st April 2024, Arts & Craft Fair, 10am-4pm, Easter Egg Hunt, 12Noon to 3pm Easter Craft Workshops – donation of £1 per child, with an Easter Egg Hunt, £5, and an Arts & Craft Fair, free entry.

Also, plenty of arts and crafts on offer at Hever Castle in Sevenoaks at their dinosaur-themed Easter Family Fun event with trail hunt for dino eggs, face painting, and lots more. All events are free with admission except face painting: £5. For entry prices and more details click here.
At the Easter Basket Weaving Workshop at Lullingstone Country Park in Sevenoaks learn how to weave your own basket to take home. 23rd March, 10.30am-12.30 pm, £22. Age Guidance: 14 years +.

At Folkestone Museum, there are plenty of crafty creations with the MakeIt! Myths & Legends workshops. Make Iron Age horse brooches, and be inspired by the themes of Jupiter and the bee, dragon eggs and dream time. From the 2nd to the 5th of April 2024, drop-in sessions
between 10.30am–12Noon and 1.30pm-3.0pm. Price: Free – but donations are welcome to go towards the costs of the materials – suggested donations of £1-£2 per child. The age guidance is 4 to 11 years, but all ages are welcome.

ZOMBIE TRAINING
At the Zombie Survival Training at Betteshanger Country Park in Deal learn how to use throwing axes, and recurve bows to hunt down the evil zombie attackers. Once you have mastered your skill, finish the session with a led zombie hunt using Battlezone Archery bows to clear out the park’s woodlands from the evil dead. Strictly for those 10 years and over, 8th to 12th April 2024, 2 hour sessions at  10am and 1pm. £20, parking: £5.

BOUNCING FUN
This Easter at The Victory Academy in Chatham, enjoy plenty of hopping fun with a range of inflatables, including a new 42ft Assault Course, mega slide and a Giant Party Castle! The Egg-Cellent Easter Bounce is for under 11 years, with a dedicated play area for those under 5 years, and SEN sessions available on each day. 4th and 5th April 2024, bookable sessions 9.30am to 4.30pm, Child: £10 – includes an easter egg, Child – under 1 years: Free, Adult: £1.50. SEN Session*: £9 per child with one free parent/carer – *No additional adults, please, unless your child’s needs require 2 carers.

SAY HELLO
This Easter in Kent head to the Reuthe’s Lost Gardens of Sevenoaks where little ones can take on the trail challenge, with a Bunnies route for older ones. They can also visit the Easter Bunnies Grotto to meet the Easter Bunny, with photo opportunities, and collect a gift. 29th March and 1st April 2024, Grotto, 10am-2pm, Trail, 9am-4pm. Child – 3 years+: £12, Child – 1 to 3: £3, Child – under 12 months – Free, accompanying Adult – 14 years +: £3. The price includes the Easter Trail. Age Guidance: Age Guidance 3 years +.  Younger children are welcome to join their older siblings at the above prices but cannot attend alone. All bookings require at least one 3 years + ticket, and they only will receive a gift.

MAKE IT TO MARGATE 
At WonderWorks Margate you can drop in and meet the minds behind Scalextric designs and explore their new range. On the 3rd, 5th, 8th, 10th and 12th April 2024, 11.30am to 12.30pm. Also dont’ miss Kids for for a Quid at Wonderworks, see model railway and Scalextric layouts, and experience their interactive displays on the 13th and 14th April 2024 from 10.30am to 3.30pm. Price: Child – 5 to 15 years: £1, Child – under 5 years when accompanied by a paying adult: £5.
