Experience the magic of a Victorian Christmas at the Rochester Dickensian Christmas Festival, as the historic city celebrates Charles Dickens over one festive weekend in December. Familiar characters from his novels fill the High Street, with costumed parades, street entertainers, readings and live performances, plus hands-on workshops and guaranteed snow. The Rochester Christmas Market runs at Rochester Castle on the same weekend, with a Bavarian food village and a funfair in the Castle Gardens.
