Description
The Bredgar & Wormshill Light Railway (BWLR) is set within 30 acres of the North Downs, and this narrow gauge railway was created in 1975. It all started with a purchase of a small industrial diesel locomotive, and in 1979 it was joined by Bronhilde, their first steam engine, and by then the track had been laid, sheds and carriages built and constructed. BWLR now have 10 operational steam locomotives. You can also enjoy woodland walks, with play areas, and the railway has several open days, special events and its Wednesday Diesel Days from February to October.
