Unlocking Dover Gaol at Maison Dieu (Dover Town Hall) is a spooky family experience during the October half-term. At this behind‑the‑scenes interactive tour, learn about the infamous treadwheel and discover what life was like for child prisoners. Discover what punishments they faced, and take a mug shot beside the original height‑measuring stick. Visitors can also get hands‑on with real prison artefacts and dress up to take part in a mini courtroom trial, held in the Council Chamber.
