Description
Hot air balloon rides with Virgin Balloon Flights start from Northgate on the northeastern side of the cathedral city. You can spot ruins from the air, and the key sites of the city, some of which have been designated UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Flight locations also include Maidstone, Hollingbourne in Canterbury, Tunbridge Wells, and Headcorn in Ashford.

Virgin Ballooning aims to ensure people with disabilities or medical conditions have the opportunity to participate in Virgin balloon flights, however, they are unable to fly anyone who requires a wheelchair.

You can’t fly if you’ve recently had major surgery or are pregnant. Due to weight and space restrictions, those 18 stone or more, or under 6ft, may have to pay a supplement. Balloon flights are a shared experience with 12-16 passengers in the basket.

Allow 3-4 hours for the full experience. Vouchers are valid for 18 months and can be rescheduled online if a flight is cancelled. Vouchers are non-refundable. The side of the basket has foot holes for access.
