Head for the great outdoors for a range of activities this May half term with our round-up of outdoor and coastal trails and hunts in Kent. Inspired and incorporating the Garden of England’s natural beauty, there’s plenty to keep them busy these holidays. With the Ranger Bear’s Spring Trail Springtime has arrived in Bewl Water’s enchanted woods, where Hedgehog has been sleeping all winter long. Can you help Ranger Bear wake her up and find his friends along the way and work out the word to wake Hedgehog?

Intrepid explorers can gather a team, collect a sheet and head out on a garden adventure with the trail I-Spy Riverhill at Riverhill Himalayan Gardens in Sevenoaks. Until 4th June 2023.

For the Shiver MAY Timbers Trail at the Trosley Country Park in Gravesend grab yer parrot and eye patch and explore Trosley Country Park in search of treasure. Follow the map in search of clues to reveal the secret word to claim a prize. Until 4th June 2023.

Don’t miss even more with our Festivals In Kent 2023 and Carnivals, Country Shows & Fayres In Kent 2023 for lots more events including war enactments, and country shows for all ages during the half term.

May Half Term at Margate Caves join the Wild and Wonder trail focussing on the local wildlife and the global myths and legends they have inspired. Until 4thth June 2023.

May Half Term Trail at Lullingstone Country Park in Sevenoaks – follow the self-led activity around the park and receive a small prize once completed. Until 4th June 2023.

Danger Zone Trail at Scotney Castle in Tunbridge Wells learn about Scotney’s own resident hazel dormice as well as other endangered UK species. Until 4th June 2023.

Get outside and connect with nature with the half term Wildlife Trail at the Sevenoaks Wildlife Reserve, until 4th June 2023.

The Octonauts Deep Sea Adventure at Historic Chatham Dockyard help the characters who have come to the dockyard to investigate reports of mysterious creatures from the Midnight Zone setting up home here. Take part in the trail to help the Octo-Crew identify these curious creatures when you pick up your logbook and find the clues. There are also Meet & Greet The Octonauts on selected dates. Until 2nd September 2023.
