This half-term, theatre events in Kent include the War Horse at The Marlowe in Canterbury. The National Theatre’s production returns to the venue. The story, based on Michael Morpurgo’s novel, is about Joey, young Albert’s beloved horse, serving on both sides during WWI. The story is told with astonishing life-sized horses by South Africa’s Handspring Puppet Company, with Albert embarking on a treacherous mission to find Joey and bring him home.
