Celebrate Black History Month in Maidstone with a range of activities showcased on Visit Maidstone. As part of the Maidstone LitFest, Bishop Rose Hudson-Wilkin reflects on her remarkable journey from a childhood in Montego Bay, Jamaica, to becoming the Church of England’s first Black female bishop. Join DJ d.o.t for some live Afrobeats music at Maidstone Museum. Celebrate the month with two days of storytelling, rhythm, food, theatre and more at Jubilee Square and the Town Hall, plus there's African Drumming and storytelling.
