Description
Ightham Mote in Sevenoaks was built nearly 700 years ago. It is a moated manor house and highlights include a Great Hall, crypt and the private apartments of the prior owner who gave Ightham Mote to the Trust in 1985. The gardens, with three estate walks, offer unique views and include a renowned bluebell woodland with a water spring that feeds the Ightham Mote. There is also a natural play area for those under nine years, and a children’s map that can be downloaded or picked up from the visitors' centre.
