Biddenden Vineyards in Ashford are open to the public daily throughout the year and there are two self-guided tour routes. around the vines or visitors can take guided tours and also Meet the Winemakers tours. The vineyard is a family-run enterprise, originally a 40-acre apple orchard, until the matriarch of the family, Mrs Barnes heard a radio programme about English vineyards being replanted and she was inspired to turn to viticulture. In 1969, one-third of an acre of vines was planted and Biddenden Vineyards was born.
