Dungeness Beach, as well as the surrounding area, is a unique place to visit, with its Lighthouse and the late filmmaker Derek Jarman's Prospect Cottage Garden. The shingle beach, a spit of land sticking out, is a strange combination of an atmospheric landscape, fishermen’s boats and shacks, unique wildlife and flora and fauna, lighthouses, and old train tracks.  It is Britain’s only desert!
