Halloween in Chatham includes this scary favourite, now in its 42nd year. Are you brave enough to venture into the depths of Fort Amherst for some spooky goings on? This year, they have added a new Family Event for one day!
Teen/Adult Experience
Two new thrilling mazes for you to explore or endure! With live actors ready to scare you throughout, and as Fort Amherst says, "this is an extreme Halloween event and may not be suitable for everyone!"
Family Experience
This is a more family-friendly, toned-down version of the teen/adult event with two mazes to explore the horrors on offer, though don't be fooled, "please be warned it will still be a terrifying experience," says Fort Amherst.
Children's Experience
With one maze to explore, this is a suitable event for little ones, for 2 years and over.

Teen and Adult - 13 years +: From £28.50
Family - age 10 years +: From £25
Child - 2 years+: Child: £10, Adult: £2.50
Extra adult for child session: £10
Carer - via Nimbus Disability partnership: Free

6pm to 8.30pm - tours every 15 minutes
Family Experience
2nd November 2025
10.30am-2.30pm - tours every 15 minutes
Child Experience
26th, 31st October and 1st November 2025
10am to 1.15pm - tours every 15 minutes.
Accessibility
Not wheelchair accessible. No guide dogs allowed.
Advisory Notes
Children under 15 years + must be accompanied by a full-paying adult aged over 18 years. No food or drink is allowed to be brought on site. If you need to change your booking, there is an admin fee. Please note that dates and times are subject to availability. Arrive 30 minutes before your allotted start time.
Additional Notes
The event is not suitable for those with epilepsy and asthma. The event is not recommended for pregnant women, persons with a heart condition or those with a nervous disposition.

There is no parking available on site. Car parks include Riverside ME4 4SL, Town Hall ME4 4SF, or St John's ME4 4JL - all within 5 minutes.
